Champa

Champa devoted herself professionally for over 10 years to her first love, the dance, before making the natural transition to yoga. She has now been teaching yoga and meditation for 10 years.  She is most interested in studying the balance between muscular strength and flexibility but, above all, the centrality of breath.

Champa completed her first Ashtanga Yoga Teaching Certification at the Montreal Studio in 2014. She honed her skills with specializations in pre-natal yoga, post-natal follow-up and birth support. She also took therapeutic yoga specializations in post-traumatic stress, lower back and pelvic floor health, digestive problems, stress and anxiety.

In 2016, she obtained a Restorative and Yin Yoga Diploma and now gives classes to regular students and patients with chronic pain in clinics, hospitals and geriatric centres.

Using her experience in yoga and meditation, Champa teaches the six perfections of yoga: Discipline, devotion, letting go, absorption, self-realization, as well as the impermanence of all things. She consciously creates a safe space for her students to experience breath synchronization, body awareness and meditation.

Champa compassionately respects the unique capacity of each student. Her private classes create a supportive and relaxed context where students can listen to their bodies and regain a sense of unity and well-being.

By sharing the benefits of a daily practice (positions, alignment and breathing techniques), Champa enables students to benefit from the deep, natural connection between body and spirit and encourages them to embrace yoga as a way of life.
